Hastelloy is used to restore rolls which have experienced a corrosion problem Hastelloy Rolls have very good corrosion resistance. They can withstand the sulfuric acid and hydracholric acid released during some film processing and other chemical operations.
Hard Face Rolls can be cut down and welded up using hastelloy. The Hastelloy is then machined and ground to dimensional specifications.
This results in a very hard and very corrosion resistant roll.
